Loving God, Loving People

Community Build December 2021 update

For I know the plans I have for you’, declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future’ Jeremiah 29 v 11

We continue to give thanks to God for the manner in which he is continuing to move the project forward. It is wonderful that through Challenge 40 we now have at least 40 people praying regularly for the project. We also have some new monthly pledges, several ideas for fund raising and many actioned resulting in £10,000 being raised over the last three months. Even more significant is that we have established links with our local community giving greater opportunity to spread the good news of Jesus. Some may be disappointed that the target of £40,000 has not been reached, but we have no need to be down hearted as God is in control and as we follow his lead, we move in expectancy of what God is going to do in 2022.

In the mean while the fund raising continues, and our thanks to all those who are contributing in any way. Check out the following in particular:

  • Does your bike need maintenance? See Pete Ireland

  • Do you need handmade quilling cards, homemade chutney, or homemade cakes? See Leona Bovett
